MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A new permanent trophy for the Battle of the Border will be up for grabs when West Plains and Mountain Home meet on the football field on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Bomber Stadium.
The Battle of the Border series pits the Show-Me State vs the Natural State and provides a natural rivalry between West Plains and Mountain Home whose campuses are separated by only 50 miles . This will be the 14th all time meeting between the two schools and will be the first matchup since 1987. West Plains leads the all time series 7-6 winning the last meeting by the score of 34-21.
The trophy was a combined effort by both schools as they split the cost of the trophy. The winning team will have possession of the trophy until the next year!
